To make savory chaffles, you will need eggs, shredded cheese, almond flour, baking powder, and seasonings of your choice.

Mozzarella cheese works best in sweet chaffles. A mix of cheeses (like mozzarella, cheddar, Colby, and Parmesan) is perfect for the savory chaffles.

Once the mini waffle maker is hot, pour half of the batter into the waffle maker and close the lid.

The chaffle cooks pretty quick. It’s done when it looks nice and golden brown. You can keep it in a tad longer if you want your chaffle to be a bit more crispy.

Another trick for making the chaffle crispier is to add a bit of shredded cheese to the waffle maker before adding the batter, the add a bit more shredded cheese over to of the batter.

Once it’s done, carefully remove it from the mini waffle maker and let it cool.

Repeat this process for the other half of the batter.

Now you’re ready to make your creation!

For the sweet chaffle, try drizzling it with syrup for a fun twist on waffles, make a breakfast sandwich by using two chaffles as the bread, or add your favorite dessert items to it! These taste great with keto fluff and sugar free chocolate syrup on top!

For the savory chaffle, make a sandwich or hamburger!

These also work well for toasted sandwiches. I used mine to make a bacon grilled cheese. Just add a bit of butter to a hot pan and assemble the sandwich in the pan. Then flip to toast the other side.

    1. Hi Scarlette! You can definitely cook them like a pancake! They do come out a bit softer in the middle when cooked this way versus on a waffle maker, but it works! Give it a try and let us know how you liked it! 🙂
